Founding director of Atelier Ten, Patrick Bellew is one of the UK’s Royal Designers and a building environmental engineer with more than thirty years’ experience in the design of high-performance buildings and systems. He works with architects to create “green” buildings and is committed to sustainable design within the built environment. The work of his practice, Atelier Ten, is rooted in vernacular design but extends through technology into modernity.In this lecture Patrick Bellew will describe how the application of a broad range of environmental ideas has shaped his work by specific reference to recently completed green buildings – for example Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.

Founded in 1990 in London by a team of progressive engineers, Atelier Ten now has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, New York, New Haven, San Francisco, Doha, Bangkok, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney.
