The Oskar von Miller Forum presented this exhibition in cooperation with the M:AI Museum für Architektur und Ingenieurkunst NRW. Masterly roof structures from antiquity to the present documented the innovativeness and technical excellence delivered by architects and engineers. The design of more than 30 impressive roof projects was shown – from the Pantheon, which was completed in 125 AD, to the floating tent-like structure of Munich’s Olympic roof. Recent projects from around the world gave an outlook on how computer-aided design and the development of new materials continue to enable increasingly spectacular and experimental roof structures.
The exhibition went from 28.10. bis 27.11.2016
