Collaborations with architects, artists and designers have resulted in many projects that are interesting not only from an architectural viewpoint but have also won many awards while bearing witness to an outstanding spirit of innovation and enthusiasm.
For Thomas’ team, no design challenge is unattainable and no specialist field too complex. For this reason, Atelier One is a “testing lab” for structural engineering with an excellent international reputation and can be expected to continue providing extraordinary responses to the question “Why not?” in the future.
Neil Thomas
Neil Thomas is Founding Director of the London-based Atelier One planning studio. In 2014, he was elected Royal Designer for Industry for excellence and innovation in structural design and for sustained ingenuity as a structural engineer in collaborations to create groundbreaking public art. In addition, he received an Honorary RIBA Fellowship for both the excellence and the inventiveness of his contribution to architecture over the past 25 years. In 2015 Neil Thomas was named Fellow of the Institute of Structural Engineers.
